IP & Trademarks, Manager - Mid & Junior Management

Main Purpose of Job

Manage team or project execution, promoting strategic and functional excellence. Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement, oversee team dynamics, and ensure successful delivery of departmental objectives and company-wide strategies.

Strategic Responsibility

  • Oversee team or project operations, aligning with departmental goals.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies and processes.
  • Manage and develop team members, fostering skill enhancement.
  • Collaborate with other managers to ensure cross-departmental alignment.
  • Monitor and report on project or team performance.

Functional Responsibility

  • Prepare patent Freedom to Operate (FTO) reports for product launches in KSA and MENA.
  • Diversify patent information sources for comprehensive and accurate FTO searches.
  • Optimize FTO search scope through various strategies and methodologies.
  • Draft and analyze patent non-infringement opinions to accelerate market entry.
  • Identify market opportunities by anticipating patent cliffs.
  • Support IP Executive Director with tasks and cross-functional department collaborations.
  • Create and manage an IP database for patent prosecution and FTO searches.
  • Manage SPIMACO’s patent and trademarks portfolio with external agents.
  • Accelerate product entry to GCC markets through collaboration and design-around patents.
  • Supervise junior staff and oversee SAP operations, including PR requests and invoices.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.

Experience & Language

Experience:Minimum 11 years. Language:English - proficient.( Required)Arabic - proficient.( Preferred)

2. Supplier Negotiations: Engage in negotiations with suppliers or vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and maintain strong supplier relationships.

4. Professional Development Workshops: Participate in external workshops or seminars to expand their knowledge and skills in their respective fields.
